Ways to Improve SEO in 2021 (That Will Boost Ranking)
I want to help you to grow online and to get organic traffic. Let me start from my first tip. It's to find topics with a lack of quality content. Most webmasters usually go to keyword research tools and chase high volume keywords; however, all these topics have a lot of other high-quality content. It's a little bit tricky when Google ranks content in the top 10 and hiding a lot of choices with high-quality content. Sometimes you can have much better content than your competitors have, but you can't overcome them because of their authority and trust. That's why you often see Wikipedia, Amazon, and any other websites in the top 10. It's better to jump with topics that have a lack of quality content. Let me share my screen. You can see my list of SEO tools. I will submit the link in the description below. Choose filter 'Multi-Purpose' & 'Keyword Research' and find tools that helps you to find these topics; Ubersuggest is a great one, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Serpstat. Yep, just choose one tool that helps you to find these topics.
I described the process in my article, choose 'Correct Content Plan'. If you want to know more-- For example, if you use Ahrefs, you can go to Content Explorer, type your keyword, choose the filter 'Published over 3 years ago', 'Low domain/page authority', and 'Less than 1,000 words'. Ahrefs will list for you a lot of topics that have traffic, but less quality content. It's better to check out them manually. For example, if you type on Google 'consumer products list', you can find my website in the 3rd position. Yep, I have the 3rd position with this keyword. And if you open the 1st position, you can see this page. And yep, we have some content here. Yep, I think it's high quality as well. The second position has less quality content. I don't know. Google needs to rank my website higher than this page because my content is much better. And if you scroll down, you can see that I describe the process with infographics, with a content plan, and a lot of explanations. Yep, that's why Google decided to rank my page in the 3rd position. And if you open position 4, you can see low-quality content. Yep, that's why I jumped with this topic to get traffic by the way. You can see this traffic for a month. I get a lot of clicks on this topic. I didn't provide a lot of link building or any other techniques with this page, but I get this traffic because my content is much higher than many other pages in the top 10.
Find these topics. Don't try to cover topics that 100% relevant to your produce. Yep, you can find other topics. For example, for me, it's tough to overcome with SEO keywords published by Moz, Ahrefs, Neil Patel, and any other recognizable websites because of their authority and high-quality content. But when you cover topics with a lack of quality content, you can overcome it. Don't try to search for high-volume keywords. Go ahead and find these topics. The second way is you can find longtail keywords that work perfectly fine as well. Give me a few seconds. For example, if you type on Google 'coffee maker', you can see these keywords and check them out as well, open each page, and analyze what type of content they are, can you create something better, much better content than existing content? You can use other websites like Yelp. For example, type their content if you use local SEO and analyze other keywords where you can create something similar or much better content. Yep, of course, 3 times better content than existing ones. If you feel that you can't create 3 times better content, skip this topic, go ahead, create your content plan with the best possible content that is related to your niche. For example, if you provide services like home improvement, you can attach topics family, kids, pets, and something like this. I want to share one content plan. For example, you can see I made this content plan for my client, and the main topic is trademarks. And you can see that I found 12 pages that have traffic and their content is low quality. If you open one of these pages, for example, this one, you can see that-- What is this? You can create much better content to overcome this page. And my third tip is to choose priorities. Yep, priorities are crucial to get results today. I know that my clients often ask me, "How many pages do I need to write every month?" Don't do it. Write one page, but with the best possible quality. If you feel that you can't improve the quality of this page, just go ahead to another page. And for example, you can see we have 12 pages. It takes time to search for information, to analyze the best content in the top 10, and think how you create something better, and yep, just choose one page.
What can we choose here? Okay, we can open this page. We can check it out. If you feel that you are willing to create something better, yep, just jump with this topic. Woah!! Look at this. A few paragraphs! You know, sometimes users don't need a lot of content, but you can add some pictures, infographics to occupy the attention of your visitors because you have only 10-15 seconds to tell that your content is worth their attention. Most users open content and quit. Yep, they leave without regret towards any websites. Priorities are crucial. That's why I usually write less, but only high quality. It works for Google. My next tip is to learn user intent. I know that most projects want to promote e-commerce pages. But if we are talking about info content, users want to get other results. For example, if you go to Google, choose... I don't know, like this bean to cup coffee machine, you can see that we have some Google features and a list of coffee machines. You can open it.
That means users want to get a list of the best coffee machines. Yep, just create something similar- Your list of the best coffee machines. Don't rewrite them, create something new and much better, but analyze user intent. You can't cheat Google anymore because Google learns how users spend time on your website. If they come back to the search system, that means you couldn't satisfy them, and Google think perhaps your content is not relevant, it's better to take it away from the top 10. My next tip is to never hire copywriters. I can explain why. Copywriters usually don't know the topic, they rewrite content in the top 10. And when users see this content in the top 10, they will ignore the same content. That's why many projects that have a lot of rewriting never get results. It's better to cooperate with experts. How can you find them? Search for bloggers, journalists in your niche and reach out to them, and ask, "Do you want to cooperate with me?" If you take the list of the top bloggers, for example, 100 bloggers or 1000 bloggers, 51% of them never reply to you, 46% charge some crazy price, and 4% can give suitable conditions. Learn their content. If they know your topic and they write only about one topic, it's better to cooperate with them because they provide quality. Many projects go to Upwork, Fiverr, or any other resources trying to find some specialist.
And when they hire rewriters who don't know your topic, these people can't provide results. For example, if you're sick, are you interested to read content from copywriters who have no experience in medical field? Of course, you want to cooperate with doctors who have a massive and huge experience to treat people and to take away any diseases. Okay, after this, when you write some content for your pages, go ahead and write some unique design, draw this design. For example, if you open any of my pages, you can see that I have some unique design.
I never copy others, you know, my infographics, my pictures, some structure because users are not interested to read just text, they want to get pictures, infographics, and it helps to get their attention. It doesn't cost a lot. If you go to Fiverr, you can find some designers that charge $5-$10 for some pictures, or you can use tools like Canva. By the way, if you open this page 'SEO Tools' and choose filter 'Graphic Design'-- Give me a few seconds. I need to scroll down.
Yep, choose the filter 'Graphic Design', you can get a bunch of tools that provide designs online, like Canva. If you want to use Google Data Studio, it helps with optimizing your reports. Yeah, pretty awesome tool, by the way. And draw some design for your pages because many projects just submit text on the admin panel, and after this, they think it's enough. But you know, you can check out your competitors and see their designs. You should provide something better, much better. My next tip is to provide technical optimization. And I know that many projects get all technical errors with paid tools and go to web developers. Most web developers can't fix all these errors. Don't do it. It's better to go to Google Search Console and get all the technical errors. The second tool is PageSpeed Insights. If you type your website- Oh, you can see that I have only 18.
I need to reach out to my web developer. I don't know what's going on because I had a much better rating. Yep, after this video, I will reach out to my web developer and ask him what's going on. You know, sometimes when you provide a lot of changes on your website, you can lose this technical optimization. It's better to check it out. When you create a new page, when you submit all content, optimize this content to increase page speed, take away some technical errors. Yep, don't try to get 100%. I know that many people ask, "Can I get 100%?" Why do you need to have it? If you check out the content in the top 10, these pages don't have a 100% because people are interesting to see the visual sight, they don't know about your technical errors. Yep, just optimize with Google Search Console and PageSpeed Insights. If you fix all errors there, just go ahead, you can use paid tools as well. My eighth tip is to promote after creation. You can use a lot of link building techniques, and it depends on your content that you have. Don't try to cover all techniques. Reach out to some experts, ask them which techniques are better with your content, or read them- Type on Google 'link building strategies', you can get a list of different techniques, read them, learn them. And when you understand how it works, you can hire some link builders to get results, because we can't use totally the same techniques with all projects.
And yep, if something works for you, it might not work with others. Yep, it depends. But it's better to learn link building techniques and provide off-page SEO after creation, because a lot of webmasters, when they create content, they go to another content. And when they have a lot of high-quality pages, they try to promote all of them. Don't try to huntdown two birds with one stone. And your content might be obsolete for a few months or years. Yep, it's better to update this content. And when you provide a link building for obsolete content, you can't get high results. That's why it's better to use it after creation. And your competitors don't wait when you get results with your content. My tip number nine is to create brand awareness. To easily explain how you can do it. For example, I use YouTube where I submit my content, I use LinkedIn where I post a lot of valuable content.
If you open my account, you can see that I have 48,000 followers, I post a lot of valuable content with my followers. Just open my posts and you can check out what type of content I submit. I only share value. If you share value, help & support others, you can get results on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook. Build your followers base. The more followers you have, the more trust in your content, because 70% of visitors check out your social media. And if you helped them before, it's a good reason to hire you. You can cover all the stages of the sales funnel. And you often see Amazon and Wikipedia in the top 10 because these websites have a high click-through rate. And when Google ranks some content, if people don't click this content, that means it's not relevant. But people will click to recognizable brands in the top 10. It's better to work with one social media. Don't try to cover all social media. For example, I tried to cover Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, but I decided to dive into LinkedIn because I can get over 100 followers a day just promoting on LinkedIn, and of course, I pay attention to YouTube as well. Yep, I use 2 social media. But I often see when webmasters try to cover 3, 4, or 5 social media platforms, and they can't get results everywhere. Focusing is key. Just choose one. Okay, my tip number 10 is to consider the parameter EAT: Expertise, Authority, & Trustworthiness. How can you do it? Start from your website, create a page "About us". You can see my page if you scroll down and click here because users check out these pages. Online fraud is overwhelmed and the number is crazy, over 100 million dollars from online fraud each year. And yep, people don't want to lose their hard-earned money and they check out your page "About you", read information about you. And don't try submitting some selfish information that you're a great expert. Don't do it. Just share value in this content as well, tell how you can help others to be great. If you open my blog, you can see that I have a section for authors. Just click these authors and read a bio about them. For example, Jason Bernard, he's a great expert. And if you want to know about him, you can click it and learn more. I often see when webmasters have blogs and don't submit authors. You know, it's the same as reading books and don't know who wrote this book. Of course, people are interested about the author, and it helps to increase trust. Submit other helpful pages, contact page, bio section, about you, and use a lot of personal photos because you should increase the level of trust.
If you open many of my pages, I submit my photos to increases this trust. And I have social media profiles that helped me to increase trust. If you want to build your authority, just write guest posts for other websites. And yep, it helps to build authority when high authoritative and relevant websites linked to your content. Yep, it improves your parameter EAT. My last tip is patience. You should be ready to promote your content for 6 months, 12 months, and even more because you can get results fast. SEO is a long game. It takes time to create high-quality content, to optimize this content, to earn links and promote on Google. Don't think that only a few techniques will help you. You should use a bunch of techniques, content creation, promotion, optimization, social media, and something similar. Just provide all of them to get results. Many projects fail because they think they can get results in a few months or weeks, but they can't because of the level of competition. It takes time. Okay, guys, that's it for today.
